Prause Durotec cooperates with universities

The dialogue with students and researchers at universities provides our company with important input. In collaboration with South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences, for example, Prause Durotec GmbH enables students who are taking Lightweight Construction as an elective, supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mark Fiolka, to visit the company on excursions and to gain initial insights into the processing of fibre composites.

In the last 20 years, more than 15 diploma, bachelor and master theses have been realised in an intensive exchange between our company and universities. The theses examined, for example, new material combinations for leaf springs, new areas of application and the economic efficiency of steel springs compared to fibre composite leaf springs.
