Where we are coming from, who we are, the way we are thinking: Get to know Prause Durotec.
Born of inventiveness
Paul Joachim Prause, a pioneer
Arnsberg, 1974: Applying his know-how in plastic leaf springs, Paul Joachim Prause decides to go into business for himself and establishes Schichtstofftechnik Prause, which becomes today’s P.J. Prause Durotec GmbH in 1998. Previously, Prause had played a key role at 3M Germany in the introduction and technical application of composite leaf springs made of fibre composite Scotchply™ in Germany and across Europe.
Today, Prause Durotec continues to be a medium-sized family business – with 20 employees and satisfied customers all over the world. In the meantime, the family’s second generation is already in charge of operations: Tim Prause, a mechanical engineer, has been managing the business since 2007.
